MK-MiniGP50 Class

• Rider Age: 9 to 15 years.
  • Exception: 8-year-old riders may apply if they have successfully completed a minimum of 6 rounds of Minimoto races in the AC40 PRO or LC40 Elite class with FAB-Racing and have shown good ability. Rider stature will be considered.
  • Assessment: Riders new to FAB-Racing will be assessed on a practice day before competing.
• Machine Eligibility:
  • As supplied MK-MiniGP50 motorcycles with the Metrakit OE Chassis and Motor.
  • Must remain unmodified except for obligatory and permitted changes listed below.
• Obligatory Changes:
  • Safety Wiring: Gearbox oil drain and filler plugs must be drilled and wire locked.
  • Catch Bottles: Must be fitted on the gearbox breather pipe, fuel tank breather pipe(s), and radiator overflow pipe.
  • Race Numbers: Clearly visible on the front and sides (fairing or seat tail).
    • Size: Minimum height 130mm (Front) & 100mm (Side).
    • Colours: Red Background & White Numbers.
  • Tyres: Supplied by M4 Minimoto. Restricted to PMT SS / Black Fire R Tyres (100/90x12 Front & 120/80x12 Rear) or PMT Rain Tyres. PMT S Slick permitted in extremely hot conditions.
  • Protection: Footrests must be nylon. Any parts that could damage the track in a fall must have effective "soft" protection.
• Permitted Changes:
  • Handlebars: Clip-on style only (must not reduce steering lock).
  • Brakes:
    • Front Brake Guard advisable.
    • Front and rear disc pads (any make/compound).
    • Front disc may be changed to the FAB-Racing approved floating disc.
    • Front Brake master cylinder may be changed to any commercially available part.
    • Note: Caliper changes are NOT permitted.
  • Suspension:
    • Steering damper may be fitted.
    • Front and rear springs, damping oil (SAE), and pre-load adjusters.
    • Rear shock must be the multi-adjustable YSS Monoshock (supplied & approved by FAB-Racing).
  • Drive:
    • Chain: Any make (415, 415HD, 415HR or 420, 420H, 420HR).
    • Sprockets: Sizes within FAB-Racing list (415 or 420).
  • Engine & Ignition:
    • Spark plug: Restricted to NGK resistor types BR8/9/10 (any suffix). Cap: OE or NGK LB05EMH.
    • Reed valve petals (block must not be machined/profiled).
    • Clutch: Standard or uprated kits as supplied by FAB-Racing.
  • Carburettor:
    • Changes restricted to: Main jet, Main nozzle, Pilot jet, Slide needles, Slide (#30 or #40 only).
    • No other modifications allowed. Air filter optional.
  • Exhaust: Only 2021 to 2024 design expansion chambers permitted.
  • Chassis: Footrest hangers may be replaced with FAB-approved adjustable versions.
